The first number (6) is the starting number and the (Y) is the starting color
Turn the wheel so the number 6 is in the Yellow window
Now write down the numbers you see in the Green, Red and Purple windows.

Code = 1G/OYB would be 9 11 3
Code = 7B/GRP would be 9 3 1

(/) separates your starting code number and color (+) means add (?) means equals
Code = 2R/G+P(?)
Turn the wheel so the number 2 is in the Red window
Now add the numbers in the Green and Purple windows,

(@) means mix the two primary colors to equal the secondary color (?) means the number in the secondary color window

(PMC) means write the primary colors in clockwise order (SDC) means write the secondary colors in clockwise order
(PMC+) means add the primary colors (SDC+) means add the secondary colors
